Professional Qualifications
I am BACP Accredited
MBACP and UKRCP Registered.
I hold a Counselling Diploma (Gestalt) and an RSA Certificate in Counselling and have completed three years Psychotherapy training at the Metanoia Institute of London working towards my UKCP accreditation.
In addition to this I have been working within a men’s group and have completed a basic and advanced training(working with archetypal figures). I have also attended many developmental training days, residential workshops over the years with local and overseas authors and trainers.
I have also, facilitated basic counselling skills courses, as well as one-off trainings workshops and I hold a certificate in adult training.
I am a gestalt practitioner, drawing upon the major counselling theories, as appropriate, to meet the needs of my clients. I have been in practice for many years and have experience of working with a number of counselling environments:
Private practice.
GP surgeries.
University students.
Youth counselling service.
Group work.
Psychodrama.
I am a member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and abide by their Ethical Framework.
